La Boheme Stool for Kartell

I was browsing though the current House Beautiful and saw this really cool stool. I love the transparent nature of color. This is such an easy way to add color to any room. The shapes play with volume and form as well. What a neat way to tuck extra seating into any room.

Track Lighitng: Not What You Remember From the 70′s!

mono-rail suspended on cables with pendants

When I mention the words “track lighting”, my clients get a painful look on their faces. They are remembering back to the 70″s when track lighting was so ugly, one could not help but focus on it. I am here to say that track lighting has has an amazing update in the last 3 decades. There are now stunning options in cable lights and mono-rail lighting.

Mono-rails work with a single rail that stands off from the ceiling with ridged stand-offs or cables. The stand-offs work great if you want to have the mono-rail tight to your ceiling. The cables allow for you to drop the rail to an height that you choose. The really neat thing about this type of track is that is bends. You can create curves and circles to really have some fun with your lighting. This also allows for proper placement of the track heads depending on your furniture layout.
Mono-rails can be low volt or line volt lighting. Line volt “plugs” right into your electrical system as it is and the low volt needs a transformer to “talk” properly with your electrical. The track heads come in so many varieties that you could spend a day looking at them. They allow for either simple functional lights, colorful glass pendants or whimsical options. You can really have some fun

Suspended Disks by Lynle Ellis

I am so excited to be debuting my first product design for the home. To me home is about unique joy and each person has a different voice.I have designed a feature display element that has the ability to speak in many voices. I named them Suspended Discs. These clean and contemporary elements allow for a dynamic visual display in any room or act as a side table or night stand.

The Suspended Disc allows you to display featured collectibles in your home effortlessly and with style. Another incredible use for these discs are as side tables or night stands. Why not suspend your side table instead of taking up precious floor space? The discs will also be a statement piece in any living room as a floating side table even if your home is spacious.

They may be fabricated in many sizes and are powder coated in a silver finish (the color of stainless steel). The finish is also perfect for outdoor applications. Your outdoor living spaces also deserve unique display discs! Custom colors and sizes available by special order.
