Personal Interior Design History

In 1991, Lynle Ellis began her career in Philadelphia, PA by receiving her BFA from Moore College of Art and Design in Interior Design. She graduated cum laude and relocated to southern Florida. After spending four years in Boca Raton, FL, working as a design assistant for two residential designers, she settled in San Diego, California.

Parisi, a Del Mar interior design firm, hired her as a senior designer. She created designs for numerous model homes in Phoenix, AZ; Las Vegas, NV; Orange County and San Diego County; however, she knew that her love and passion was working with individual clients.

Lynle created her boutique interior design firm, Lynle Ellis Designs, in 1999. That same year she completed and passed the 2-day, 6-section NCIDQ exam for Interior Designers. This is the National Council for Interior Design Qualification exam, which allows her to be a Professional member of ASID and able to practice as an interior designer in most states.

Lynle helps identify colors and designs that complement a client’s life style, personality and desires so as to create the perfect living or working environment. It is Lynle’s philosophy to create inspiring interiors that enhance your well-being.
